Barcelona Easter football trip.
Members of the Year 8-10 football teams enjoyed a trip to Barcelona at the start of the Easter break.
More than 70 students and 7 staff attended the trip that saw friendlies against local Catalonian opposition, FA-level training sessions and excursions to the Nou Camp, Olympic Stadium and the theme park Port Aventura.
There were many highlights from the trip, including the Year 10 boys’ A team winning 5-0 in their opening game against CE Mont-Ras, excellent goals from all five of the teams representing Poynton, and a number of birthdays being celebrated on the trip!
The positive feedback from parents and students has made all the hard work worthwhile for staff who are looking forward to planning Easter football trips in the future.
