Year 10 GCSE Bulletin
Our first term of GCSE PE has been positive with students taking to the course really well. Students’ participation levels in both theory and practical work have been very good. Home learning tasks are set via Doddle with submission dates. If your child cannot access Doddle or cannot complete for any reason please contact us via their planner
We are covering Football & Netball up until Christmas in practical lessons. All students have participated well in full kit. To support your child through the practical assessment you can look at the specification for each sport on the OCR website. If you need more guidance please contact us. Students need to be participating in sport/activities regularly outside of lesson time to assist them in gaining the best practical scores possible. Attendance at extracurricular clubs will help them to improve their scores.
This term we are covering trends in sport, factors affecting participation in sport & strategies used to improve participation. This will be completed before the Christmas break.
Students should be issued with a unit test within this half term to assess their current levels of knowledge and understanding. All students performed well on the last assessment with guidance being given to those who struggled with certain elements.
